Charisma Carpenter Charisma Carpenter, an American actor, is most well famous for her role as Cordelia Chase in the popular TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel. Carpenter was also a professional cheerleader who was also trained as a ballerina, but she was discovered to be an actor on accident. Carpenter was discovered by an agent from the commercial world in Los Angeles while she was waiting tables. She soon made her way to becoming a major character in one the most well-known dramas in the 90s. Carpenter spent years playing the role of Cordelia in the series. Carpenter also had short-term roles in teen series, including Miss Match, Charmed, and Veronica Mars. Carpenter's reality show, called Investigation Discovery &?Surviving Evil' (originally titled?I Survived Evil), shocked many. Carpenter's horrific story of being assaulted and brutally raped by a serial killer in her 20s was featured in the show. The show brought to light another side of Carpenter that many viewers were unaware of. Carpenter and her companions were attacked in 1991 by Henry Hubbard Jr. (29-year-old San Diego Police Officer). Hubbard was able to hold Carpenter at gunpoint and ordered her to tie her buddies up. He held Carpenter under gunpoint and ordered her to tie up both of her friends. She refused, which left ample time for her companions' to argue with Hubbard. Both her and Hubbard received superficial gunshot wounds. Hubbard was taken into custody following the incident. Carpenter has saved a vital evidence piece that was a flashlight issued by the police, which was used to secure a 56-year prison sentence for the serial rapist.
