Niykee's personal highlights include being selected by a scout to join Snoop on the YouTube Brandcast, in May 2013, as well as writing songs in spite of the chaos of the past few years. Her popularity is constant for new producers getting started. A lot of beats she hears from producers spark songs. "I'll be able to tell in the first five minutes if this is a quality beat. Once I've a tune in my mind I'll begin writing straight away." While I play the guitar outside on my porch, words start to flow. A majority of the time it is completed in just 30 minutes. Niykee has found that her pain in the past provides an endless source of inspiration. "Even in the absence of writing about my personal life it is the loss of my sister and my painful childhood experiences are integrated in my lyrics," she says. The loss of my sister as well as my childhood influence the music that I compose. It is important for me to have a deep meaning to everything I do.
