Lis Wiehl is an American journalist and legal analyst who was formerly an analyst for Fox News analyst.
She is an adjunct professor of law at New York Law School. Before that she served as an associate professor at University of Washington Law School. She's also provided legal comments for Bill O'Reilly's Radio Factor as well as National Public Radio. She appeared weekly on The O'Reilly Factor, Your World with Neil Cavuto, The Kelly File alongside Megyn Kelly Lou Dobbs Tonight The Imus morning show and is the host of the Legal Lis radio show and the Wiehl of Justice podcast.
Wiehl is a native of Yakima, and grew up within Yakima in Washington State, graduated in Yakima from West Valley High School. She received her degree from Barnard College with a Bachelor's Degree at the age of 33 in. In 1985 she received her master of Arts degree in Literature from the University of Queensland. And in 1987, she received the Juris Doctorate at Harvard Law School.
Wiehl was previously a US Attorney. Her role was as the correspondent for legal issues on the NPR program All Things Considered. She served as "the deputy chief investigator for Democrats in the House Judiciary Committee at the period of the impeachment of President Clinton." She worked as a professor of law and an appointment at the University of Washington School of Law Seattle from 1995 until 2001. Wiehl worked as a Fox News legal analyst from 2001-2017.
